*This picture was taken minutes before Carter & Daddy went to get haircuts. I can't believe how long Carter's hair was!

Pre-School Is Over!
Today was Carter's official last day of pre-school. We had a bbq at Spoto Park & it was a lot of fun! Carter spent quite a bit of time in the water area & also playing on the play structures. He had fun running around with his friends and eating hot dogs with them as well.
A few of his friends moms gave me their phone numbers so Carter can get together with them this summer. This year turned out to be a great experience for him. Last September he did not want to go, but he really loved it & made lots of new friends. He's already asking when he gets to go back!

New Word For the Dictionary
luncher: definition: the people that work at the store that give you your food.
Story behind the word:
Last night Carter was retelling a story that happened a while back. I was in the Jimboy's Taco drive-thru picking up a taco. My window was down & Carter's window was down. When the person working the drive-thru asked what I wanted Carter yelled out "Can I have a hamburger patty please?" They didn't hear him, but I was laughing so hard!! When I got up to the window he yelled out again "Can I have a hamburger patty please?" Again, I could not stop laughing; it was so funny. So last night as he is retelling the story to Cory he says "I yelled out to the luncher, Can I have a hamburger patty please?"
We asked him "What is a luncher?" His response was the definition up top. Next time you're at the drive-up window don't forget that you're talking to a luncher!!

Carter's 4 Year Check-Up
Today Carter went to see Dr. Gould for his 4 year check-up. He's doing great!
His stats are:
Weight: 34 lbs. (less than 50%)
Height: 41" (90%)
Dr. Gould couldn't believe how much he has grown up since the last time he saw him a year ago. Carter also got 5 shots today. He has now completed all of his immunizations & will be ready for kindergarten in a year. He did really well with his shots. The last ones he got were 2 years ago & I remember him not wanting to get them & crying. But he was only 2; this time I knew it was hurting him but he didn't cry. He tried to pull his arm away with one of the shots but other than that he did great. And he was happy to know that he is done with all of his shots!
We are also getting a referral to a Pediatric GI specialist. Carter still has constipation problems which we can keep under control with giving him Miralax every couple of days. But we want to have him checked to make sure that there isn't a problem we don't know about.
*So I remember.... 24 hours after Carter's shots, his left arm is red, swollen & warm to the touch at injection site. He seems to be fine, just tender at the site.**Carter also told the doctor that for Halloween last year he dressed up as Dr. Gould. He thought that was pretty funny!!**

We Made It To The Water Park!!
After Carter got out of pre-school today we went to the water park with Erin, Courtney, Drew & Olivia. At first the kids didn't want to get wet, but after playing on the playground for a while they wanted to get wet. Of course it was after we told them it was time to go home. Claire was happy just cheering the other kids on. She would go & get her hands a little wet. It was getting real warm out there; we'll have to make our next trip earlier in the morning.

No Water Park!
This evening we took the kids to Stone Creek Park to play in the water feature before we had family home evening. They were dressed in their swim suits & all ready to go. We get to the park & the water is not running! The sign says it runs from May 1- September 30, so we aren't sure why it wasn't working today. We'll have to ask tomorrow at the park & rec office when we drop Carter off at pre-school. I had to think fast to keep the tears away from Carter, so I said we would go home & play in their water sink in the backyard, with their swim suits on. He was ok with that. Both kids had a lot of fun. At one point Carter was sitting in the sink & of course I didn't have my camera then!

Happy Mother's Day
Today was a nice Mother's Day! Cory & the kids got me a new wallet. I've had my other one since I was 18.....I know, that's crazy, but it was working fine until recently. The slots where I put my credit cards is starting to come apart & all of my cards were getting that sticky stuff on them. So now I have a new one!
I'm so lucky to be the Mother of my 2 little monkeys. They are great kids & I love them so much! As much as they drive me crazy sometimes the little moments where they give me hugs & kisses or when Carter says "I love you, Mommy" make up for it. They were being silly when I was trying to take their pictures today; I had to post a bunch of Claire.
The other night while Cory & I were out, Erin & Courtney helped the kids make Mother's Day cards. Claire's card had her hand prints on it, it was so cute! Thank you!

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Last night we got a Wii!!!
At Cory's work they give out points for different accomplishments or when you do something to help another employee. Cory had enough points to buy a Wii so he cashed them in for a gift card to Best Buy & we picked it up last night. We got a bundle package that came with the console, Wii Sports, Wii Play, an extra nunchuk & then we got Wii Fit also.
Carter is already so good at many of the games from playing with his cousin Drew. He beat Cory at bowling this morning. I'm looking forward to some fun times with our new Wii!!
Carter was boxing & it was so fun to watch him punching the "air!!"

My Trip To Boise
I had a fun time visiting the Valkos in Boise.
Some of the highlights of my trip:
eating Blizzards; eating at the Brick Oven Bistro; reading a whole book in 2 days, holding baby Makena; watching Bride Wars, eating at Texas Roadhouse; getting a pedicure with the girls; sleeping through the night; attending Makena's blessing; playing Apples to Apples & Catch Phrase; not changing a diaper; reminiscing about Hawaii; eating Costa Vida; playing in the ball pit with Keoni & staying up really late hanging out with good friends.
It was so much fun, but I was happy to return to my little family!
