March FHE

We enjoyed a fun evening at Lisa's house, having our monthly FHE and celebrating March birthdays. Kimberly turned 14, Carter 13 and Destiny 1. The kids dyed Easter eggs and loved being with their cousins.

We Have A Teenager in the House

Happy 13th Birthday to our funny, loving, smart Carter! How can you already be 13?! It seems like you were just a little blonde haired boy playing with Thomas trains. With your birthday being on Sunday, you spent the morning at church and then we went to Grandma's house for dinner and yummy strawberry shortcakes for dessert. You were happy to get a new PS4 game and some money.

Kate's Patriotic Show

Kate's 1st grade class had a patriotic show today. They sang lots of songs and there were some speaking parts. They also made their own red, white & blue shirts!

Carter's 13th Birthday Party

Carter invited 6 friends to go to an Escape Room for his birthday. Scot Davis, Jason Hymas, Logan Stockett, Atticus Weaver, Daniel & Ryan Paul came to celebrate the birthday boy. Cory went with them and they had a blast. After, they came back to our house for dessert. The boys ended up playing hide and go seek in the pitch black out in the back yard. Carter had a great time and we're so grateful he has such great friends.

Visit From the Valko Family

Jen Valko and her kids stopped by for a few hours on their way to the bay area. It was so much fun seeing them again. The kids had a blast playing together. They picked up right where they left off last summer. So thankful for our great friends!

Claire's Field Trip to Sutter's Fort

Claire's 4th grade class went on a field trip to Sutter's Fort today. They've been studying California's history this year, so it's been neat for them to go and see some of the sights. It was a cold and rainy day, but they still had fun!

Robotic Hand

Carter made a robotic hand out of cardboard for a chapter choice project for Science class. It turned out really cool.

Kate's Leprechaun Trap

Another year, another leprechaun trap. Kate put this cute trap together with minimal help. She's hoping that they are able to catch that tricky leprechaun at school.

Service

Carter was asked to help serve food at a dinner held for community leaders that were running the overnight homeless shelters in the area during the winter. Carter loves being able to serve others....and even better when you are with friends.

Read to A Dog

Claire and Kate love when we are able to make it to the library for "Read to a dog" night. Kate read to a big & fluffy sweet dog. I didn't get a picture of Claire, but she loved her dog too.

Band Field Trip

I signed up to drive for Carter's band field trip today. The advanced band was going to play at 2 different elementary schools, to encourage them to join band in middle school. I ended up driving Carter and 6 girls in my van! It was actually a lot of fun. They were all nice kids.
The rain today was insane. It rained so hard and was blowing sideways as were unloaded all of the band instruments at each school. We were soaking wet, it was pretty comical.
