Happy Halloween

Halloween sure came fast this year! Claire's wish was to be a witch and Kate wanted to be Belle. Luckily we already had the Belle dress in the girls dress up bin!
There were many activities that we attended that led up to Halloween night. We had a combined trunk or treat with 2 others wards and that was a lot of fun. Tori & Sadie went with us and Claire's friend Sadie came as well.
We spent Halloween night at Clyde and Judy's house, trick or treating on their street. I think we have enough candy to last us a year!

Primary Program After Party

Our Primary program went really well today. I'm so proud of these kids and their willingness to participate and share their love of their Savior. During Primary my counselor planned a fun activity "Are you smarter than the Bishopric?" The kids loved it!! If the Bishopric answered a question incorrectly, then they had to play "Pie in Face." They never knew if the whipped cream would hit them in the face with a turn of the handle. What good sports they were. I love serving in Primary and being around these amazing kids each week.

Apple Hill Field Trip with Kate

Kate's 1st grade class went on a field trip to Apple Hill today. Last week they painted their t-shirts, which turned out super cute! I was able to chaperone, so I had Kate & her friend Abby. We went on a hay ride, went into the REALLY cold refrigeration room, where they keep the apples, had lunch, and just had a good time together.

Cousin Fun

We had a fun time at Jeff & Julie's house for FHE tonight. The kids loved eating dinner out back around the fire pit. They have so much fun with their cousins!

Carter's 1st Quarter Report Card

Carter received his first report card from middle school today & he earned all A's!! Way to go Carter!!

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends up north! This year I just got a rotisserie chicken, but we had all the fixin's.....mashed potatoes & gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing & pie. YUM! It's fun to do this twice year.

Kate is Star Student

Kate was star student this week in her class. She shared her "All About Me" poster today. She wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up, her favorite thing to do is ride her bike, Canada is her favorite place and she wishes that she could have a puppy!

Court of Honor

Carter had a Court of Honor last night and served as color guard. He also earned a few (ok, maybe like 13!) merit badges and rank advancements. This is the first court of honor they've had this year, so the merit badges have been piling up for a while. So proud of you Carter!

Bella Vista Craft Fair

Had a great time hanging out with friends at our annual Bella Vista craft fair. We saw lots of cute homemade items and enjoyed lunch at Red Robin after.

Outdoor Movie Fun

The girls and I met Jolynne, Tori & Sadie in El Dorado Hills to watch an outdoor movie. The girls had a lot of fun being together, watching Beauty and the Beast.

Apple Hill

The kids had no school today, so we made a trip up to Apple Hill. The fritters and caramel apples were delicious, but the heat & crowds were not so fun. We only lasted a little over an hour before we headed for home to cool off.
