Redeemer Covenant Summer Camp

Claire & Kate attended a summer camp at a local church this week. They went for 3 hours every day. They absolutely loved it!!

Claire took a sewing, art, & cooking class. She also did miniature golf & water gun art. She learned how to sew a head bang and a little purse.

Kate took a cooking, art, puppetry & water gun art class. She also did miniature golf. On Friday she was in a puppet show & they performed in front of the whole camp.

The best part of the whole thing was the cost of the camp. $25 each for the whole week!

Claire's 8 Year Old Check up

Claire had a visit with Dr. Gould today too. She didn't need any shots so she was happy!
She chatted away with the doctor, no problem!
She's doing great.

Carter's 11 Year Check-Up

Carter had a visit with Dr. Gould today. When the nurse came in she said that he was due for 2 shots. He was not a happy camper!! He started crying & was upset about it. When Dr. Gould came in he wouldn't even talk to him. He got the HPV shot and Meningococcal. Other than having to get shots he is doing great.

** Carter's right arm was swollen, red and hot to the touch for at least 3 days, from the Meningococcal shot. It bothered him but eventually was back to normal.

Pool Time!

Mike's family is in town and the kids have been having so much fun with their cousins. Today I was on lifeguard duty watching them swim for a few hours. They are really enjoying their summer!

Kate's Haircut

Kate's hair was getting quite long and she was due for a trim. She decided to get it cut to just below her shoulders. It was kind of sad watching all those curls fall to the ground, but luckily there are still lots of curls to be had! Here's to easier brushing of the hair!

Claire's Last Day of Camp

Claire's last day of camp was today and all of the families were invited to come and see what they have learned. The campers rode their horses into the arena and then they each took a turn riding around and posing for a picture.
Cory was able to leave work for a bit to come and watch and our friends Jenn & Ava also came.
The kids were able to put their own "brand" on the horse and Claire chose 4 glittered flowers. She is going to miss her horse Solo. Hopefully we will be able to sign her up for next summer!

Rubio's Grand Opening

A new Rubio's was opening in El Dorado Hills and I heard that the first 50 people in line would get a $50 gift card. After we dropped Claire off at horse camp, I drug Carter & Claire up to EDH to stand in line.  We brought chairs & books and only had to wait about 2 hours.

After they opened they gave us the $50 gift card & a Rubio's cooler back pack. We decided that it was worth it!

Back To Safteyville

More summer fun at Safetyville! Kate is doing so well on her bike, so she loves coming here. It's nice to have a safe place for the kids to ride.

More From Horseback Riding Camp

The first thing the campers did today was go on their trail ride. All of the horses are getting new shoes put on today so they had to take their ride first thing. Claire said she also got to ride bare back! She's still in heaven!

Happy 68th Birthday Mom!

We celebrated Mom's birthday today. I made dinner at her house and then we sang to her with a delicious strawberry boston cream cake. Thanks Mom for all you do for us!

Claire's First Day of Horseback Riding Camp

Claire had her first day of a week-long horseback riding camp. She LOVES it and looks like a natural out at the stables. She is going each day this week for 4 hours. Her horse for the week is named Solo. She said she likes him, but wishes he would go faster! Ha ha!! Maybe not on the first day! They went on a trial ride and were down by the lake, where she said she saw some kayakers. She also learned how to brush her horse and saddle him.
There are other animals at the stables, which she loves: dogs, kittens, goats & chickens.
I'm so glad that we were able to provide this experience for her.

Our kids current favorite show: BOB ROSS!! Netflix just added it & the kids are mesmerized by it.
It reminds me of my childhood, watching him on PBS with my Dad. Bob was such an amazing artist!

Tom & Marci's Gender Reveal Party

We had such a fun time at Tom & Marci's gender reveal party. Marci made the amazing pinata! All the kids held onto a string & they all pulled at the same time. Blue candy came spilling out, which means........IT'S A BOY!!
We also enjoyed delicious s'mores and hanging out with family. We're all excited for this new little one!
