Carter's pile of school work and artwork took up the entire dining room table! He has done some great work with the school art teacher. We went through all of his work and selected a few pieces to keep. I told him that if we kept everything we would have any room in our house. That's why I take pictures of everything!!

Stye!!
Poor Claire! She woke up this morning with a red, puffy, painful eye. Her eyelid is really swollen. I thought it was allergies but upon further examination I found that she had not only one, but two styes on her right eye. I get styes so I know how extremely painful they can be!
I kept her home from school so that she could apply a warm compress to her eye throughout the day. Hoping they they go down tomorrow.

"Oh, That's So Cute!"
We went on a walk tonight and Kate found this flower and wanted it behind her ear. When I showed her the picture she said "oh, that's so cute!"
Coin Collector
One of Carter's requirements to get his Wolf in Cub Scouts is to start a collection. He decided on a coin collection. With the help of Grandpa's old coin collection he is getting it done and really enjoying it! He can tell you that the S means it was made in San Francisco and the P stands for Philadelphia. And he knows that some pennies were made out of steel during WWII, when they could not use copper.

Quack!!!
The nursery leaders brought in a big tote full of costumes for the kids to wear. My friend told me I should go in and see what Kate was dressed up as.
She was the cutest Donald Duck I have ever seen!

Busy, Busy
We had a busy Saturday. Cory and my Dad spent the day painting the exterior of our house. I'll post pictures when it is complete- still have the trim left. I spent a few hours shoveling tons of pebbles out of the area where I want to put my vegetable garden. Carter and Claire swam in the afternoon while Kate took a nap. The kids rode bikes and scooters out front. And we ended the evening having a delicious BBQ at my mom and dads house with Grandpa Altop, Tom, Marci and Jack!
A Painted House
We decided it was time to get our house painted. The paint was chipping in many areas on the back of the house & on the side where the kids bedrooms are. There was also sun damage to the wood. Cory sanded down many areas that had sun damage.
Cory & my Dad painted the entire exterior in about 6 hours. They came back through and did the trim in the evenings after work. It was a lot of work but it looks great now!

April FHE
We hosted April FHE this evening. Some of the family came a little early to swim. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool, even though it was a little chilly in the early evening.
After they were done swimming we had our lesson, which Carter gave. It was on the first vision and he did an awesome job!! (It was one of the things he needed to do for his Duty to God).
Next, we watched a video on Joseph Smith, which Cory narrated.
We ended the night with brownie sundaes!!
