Halloween

Halloween is finally here! Kate & I went to the school to see the parade & loved all of the clever costumes. Claire's teacher was McDonalds french fries & the other 1st grade teacher was ketchup. So cute! Carter & his "nerd" friend, Graham had a good time too.
We were worried about the forecast for rain today, but luckily it worked out and didn't start sprinkling until the parade was ending.
In the evening we went over to Judy's house & enjoyed a delicious meal and then went trick or treating with Lori Anne's and Scott's kids. Again, the rain held up until we were done.

Kate's Halloween Party at Preschool

Kate was able to dress up in her costume for preschool today. She also brought candy so the class could go trick or treating. They had a fun day playing musical chairs and singing songs. Preschool is so fun!

Minions vs. Family Soccer Game

This evening was Claire's last soccer practice since day light savings is coming to an end. Her coaches thought it would be fun to have the families play a game against the girls. Cory was at Carter's practice so Kate & I went & played. We had such a fun time! The girls loved it. I believe we ended the game in a tie!

Trunk or Treat

The Primary was in charge of our ward trunk or treat this year. Kate & I went over this morning to help set up. The decorations turned out really cute. We did a chili cook off & had corn bread. There was a huge turn out, at least 200 people. Cory was our mc and he did a fantastic job. This year we did a costume parade, so everyone that dressed up walked across the stage so that we could see them all. After dinner we headed outside for trick or treating. There wasn't as much candy as in years past, but it was plenty for our kids. I was so busy the whole night that I only got one picture of Kate & her friend Mirja.

Kate's Artwork

Kate has been coming home from preschool with some art projects. They have been talking about spiders & pumpkins & bones & learning some cute songs too! When I picked her up the other day her teacher said to ask her what the largest bone in the body was. So I asked her & she replied "femur!" And the smallest bone "the ear!"

Dad's FHE Lessons

Cory has been doing an 8 week family home evening lesson on the Book of Mormon Stories songs. Each week we have talked about a different verse. Tonight it was Samuel the Lamanite. The kids love his lessons because we always have a fun activity that goes along with it. Cory made a Samuel & we used Carter's rubber band gun to try & knock him down. Everyone had a fun time!

Claire's Field Trip To Apple Hill

Claire's class went on a field trip to ️Apple Hill today. She was excited to ride the bus! They walked through the apple orchards, played on a playground & each child made a mini apple pie. I didn't go, but my friend sent pictures from the day.

Beautiful Rainbow

There was a beautiful double rainbow at Carter's soccer practice this evening. It rained for a couple minutes & then cleared up.

Primary Program 2014

Today was our Primary Sacrament Meeting program and it turned out great! There is always the worry that children won't show up or something will go wrong, but it was awesome!

My kids had the following speaking parts, which they each memorized:

Kate Wozniak:             I feel love from my parents when they give me a hug & a kiss.

Claire Wozniak:           Our testimonies never stop growing; as we continue to follow Jesus Christ        and make right choices, our testimonies will continue to grow stronger.

Carter Wozniak:          We are as the army of Helaman and will be the Lord’s missionaries in these latter days.
Carter also played prelude music on the piano with Aileen Kelley before the meeting started. He did an amazing job, we were so proud of him!

Funny Claire

I walked into Claire's room this evening & found her reading a book with a mask on!

Apple Hill

We headed up to Apple Hill right after school got out & enjoyed the beautiful sites and delicious smells of High Hill Ranch. The apple donuts, apple fritters, caramel apples & apple cider did not disappoint. We love going up there every year and spending a few hours in the great outdoors.
