The kids had so much fun playing together day and night. Board games, iphones, ipads, and card games were played. Movies were watched and naps were taken. Claire and Kate loved playing with Rusty. Hot cocoa was enjoyed and oysters were consumed. On our last day the kids knocked all of the icicles off of the balcony.

2012 In Review
2012 ended up being a big year for our family. We bought a new house and moved in July. We are very happy here and plan on staying for a long, long time.
I thought it would be fun to post our highlights of the year.
Cory: accomplished an amazing feat: he hiked Half Dome in Yosemite with his best friend John. It was really hard for him, but he DID IT!!!
He also spent most of his summer getting our pool blue (it had been covered and not cleaned for at least 8 months prior to us moving in) and worked many hours at the office.
Alyson: read 48 books on her Kindle, started a new hobby: RUNNING!! Ran 4.36 miles one day...woohoo!! Looking forward to the "Run or Dye" 5k in March. Watched kids swim all summer long. Drove kids back & forth to school.
Carter: spent the weekend in the hospital with septic arthritis of his right ankle & missed the whole month of February from school. Finished a great year of 1st grade. Spent the summer as a fish swimming in the pool. Having an awesome year in 2nd grade.
Claire: Finished her first year of pre-school, which she loved. Spent hours in the pool swimming during the summer. Enjoying the first half of Transitional Kindergarten and still getting used to waking up early and being gone all day. (would rather just stay home & be with Mom!)
Kate: running around, talking more clearly, started Nursery (which she now loves). Enjoying her one-on-one time with Mommy while the other kids are at school.
We're looking forward to a great 2013!!
Playing In The Snow
We got the kids bundled up and headed outside to play in the snow. Luckily my friend lent us a bunch of snow clothes. Carter had to wear pink boots though!! We stayed on the condo grounds to play. The kids found a little hill to sled down. Kate loved it!! Carter and Claire both made snow angels. Claire's gloves were a bit too small and her hands were getting wet and cold so she only lasted about 30 minutes. I'm glad the kids finally got to experience. the snow!
Drive Around Incline Village
Todd, Lisa and I went for a drive around Incline Village after lunch. The lake looked beautiful as did the mountains covered in snow. We drove by some amazing houses and I told Todd that I was going to tell everyone that one of them was his house!! He found one for sale..... only $13 million dollars!
We went by the private beach area that they get to enjoy in the summertime. There is an outdoor pool, beach volleyball and life guards. Looks like a fun place to spend the summer!

The Drive To Tahoe
Todd and Lisa invited our family up to their new condo to spend New Year's with them. We had no desire to drive in the snow & have to use chains, so we told the kids we would only be going if the roads were clear. Luckily the last big storm was over Christmas weekend so we were able to go.
The drive to Lake Tahoe was beautiful. Once we got up into the mountains there was so much snow. All of the kids were asleep and when Carter woke up he said "it's a winter wonderland!"
We stopped in Truckee at Richard and Kelly's house and the minute I stepped out of the car I remembered why I hope to never live in the snow again. It was FREEZING!!!!!! And icy.
After we left Truckee we continued on to Incline Village where we had a few snow flurries while we were driving. Beautiful to look at from in the car, but not a fan of it otherwise .
