Swimming With Friends

We went to Judy's today & swam with Lori Anne's boys & Ann's girls. The kids had so much fun, swimming for hours & eating delicious food. We are sad that summer is almost over.

Cub Scout Swimming

Carter's Cub Scout pack came over to our house this evening to swim & pass off some of the requirements for the swimming belt loop & pin.

All of the boys were well behaved & the evening went off without a hitch!

Cousin Fun

The kids spent hours in Jeff's backyard roaming bare foot & playing Star Wars. They were out long past dark & it was so fun to see them be kids & not stuck in front of a screen.

Cub Scout Olympics

Tonight was the Cub Scout Olympics, and all of the dens in the stake were invited. There were 8 different booths set up & the scouts (and siblings) were able to go to each booth & do the activity & then get a hole punch showing they completed it. At the end they got an icee pop. Some of the favorites were: doing push ups & picking up jelly bellies with your mouth, dart guns & racing on skateboards.

Cory is glad to have this activity behind him!

Donner Lake With The Valkos

Jen texted me over the weekend & said they made a last minute decision to drive down from Boise to Truckee to visit her mom. She wondered if we wanted to come up one day & go to the lake. The only day we had open was Wednesday, so the kids & I piled on the car & drove up to Truckee. We decided to go to Donner State Park instead of driving in to Tahoe. We found the perfect beach area to go to. There was shade & not many people nearby. The water was pretty cold but it didn't stop the kids from getting in. There was a little snake that kept slithering right next to us. The kids thought it was pretty cool. We spent 5 hours there & the kids played great together. When we were done we went back to Kelly's & she made us a delicious dinner.  So glad we had the time to go up & visit.
